From October 2016 all our bespoke "One to One" and "Family Intervention" camps will be run in the Murcia region of Spain at Fuente Del Pinar, near Yecla, which lies at the foot of the Lacera range and forms a natural step up towards the Castilian Meseta of La Mancha. It consists of an estate of some 1,200 Hectares in area, of great natural interest due to the fact that it lies within a protected area for steppe birds of prey. It is the only place in the Region of Murcia where the Great Bustard can be spotted.
The closest airport is Alicante (around 93km away from Yecla) where car hire can be obtained. Access: The junction to the A-14 is off to the right of Yecla/ Almansa road after 12 kilometres. Alternatively, you can use our Pick Up/ Drop Off service for £150.00
The 7 day Family Intervention Camp focuses on strengthening the resources and resilience of families. It provides families with dedicated support that is practical, intensive and personalised to suit their individual needs to help them take control of their own lives.
At our Family Intervention Camp we motivate families to make successful changes in their relationships. We provide families with the tools they need to achieve positive outcomes in their lives and we offer practical hands on support.
Improving the quality of family life and relationships is at the heart of our intervention camps.
The camp is very "back to basics" with no luxuries although there are toilets available and running water. Families are responsible for bringing their own sleeping bags and roll mats but we will provide the tent and basic food which the families will cook together.
Families will engage in team building exercises, role reversal scenarios, family intervention and if needed, family therapy.
The Counsellor on the programme will individually tailor the therapeutic work to the families needs and the many complicated issues that they may be experiencing.
The therapeutic work is Person Centred based using aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Solution Focused and also Brief Therapy depending on the individual?s personal issues and their participation in in-group and one-to-one sessions.
Talking is widely used which will help a young person and family to understand themselves (and their present positions within family, peer groups and social settings) so that they are eventually able to resolve their own issues.
Non verbal therapy can also be used if needed (i.e. art, music, creative writing).
The camps are also an opportunity for the whole family to experience a "digital detox" and disconnect from the modern world.
Maximum of 4 family members per camp.
The price for the Family Intervention camp is £4800.00 per week (Terms and Conditions apply).
